Ancestry.com has put almost a hundred years’ worth of Sears catalogs online. Sadly, they’re not free and don’t include the Wish Books, but I’m still having loads of fun burrowing through them.

Great find! The cartoon dolls blew me away. I’ve actually been working on a site, Toonimate (in beta), that lets anyone build their own digital, fully posable cartoon dolls and create comics online for free. The community has had some fun with it, like this hilarious comic of a man coming to terms with an outie or this bittersweet comic of a Hellboy wannabe. We’ve got lots of improvements in store, and we’re far from being “wildly popular” ;), but I’d love to hear what you think.
Anyway, thanks for the post! Made my day.
