More Harry on Slate

I’ve written another piece for Slate. On…a piece of furniture. A really interesting one. From Microsoft. Here it is.

Nice piece on the Surface, Harry. The one thing I’ve not been able to understand is how comfortable it would be either hunched over a desktop both typing and looking down into the screen or touching a screen to type that is hung in front of you. I saw the demonstration you were talking about on youtube earlier this year with photo manipulation, expanding and contracting and such and thought that demonstration was quite a wow. I’d like to see a similar one with somone using Word or Excel while sitting at such a device. That, to me, is its only possible sore point.
